Universal Columbia Entertainment, LLC parent company of “Living Better with Steve Spitz,” “Intoxicating Cuisine with Steve Spitz” and Steve’s new celebrity based variety show, “Live with Steve Spitz” announces two cooking demonstrations live from the convention floor of National Association of Television Program Executives

The event is sponsored by Whole Foods Market, Caymus Vineyards, Piper Heidsieck Champagne and Southern Wine & Spirits. Among the celebrity chefs demonstrating their mastery of the culinary arts at this year’s “Celebrity Chef Kitchen” are:

Steve Spitz, internationally acclaimed for his innovative cooking style and wine pairings, best known from his television series, “Intoxicating Cuisine with Steve Spitz.,” and “Living Better with Steve Spitz,” Mary Sue Milliken and Susan FenigerToo Hot Tamales,Kerry Simon, dubbed The Rock n’ Roll Chef by Rolling Stone magazine, award-winning chef and New York Times bestselling author, additionally one of the most influential chefs in the country, Jeff Henderson and Mandalay Bay’s own executive chef Sean DiCicco, named Las Vegas Chef of the Year for Culinary Excellence by the American Tasting Institute in 2001. The three day “Celebrity Chef Kitchen” experience begins January 27th 2009 at the Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Spitz’s dates and times for the “Celebrity Chef Kitchen” are Tuesday, January 27th at 5:30pm and Thursday, January 29th at 11:00am. Wednesday, January 28th, Steve will be appearing for live cooking demonstrations at Whole Foods newest 60,000 square foot store on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Now on his fifth year of his nationally syndicated television shows “Living Better with Steve Spitz” and “Intoxicating Cuisine with Steve Spitz,” announces his new daily television series, “Live with Steve Spitz.”

Widely known for his innovative cooking and wine pairing skills, Spitz’s televisions shows are built around his wide-range of talents. For more then 15 years Spitz has worked as an award winning residential & commercial designer, creating interiors and gardens from traditional European to edgy contemporary. Steve also created the first Honey-Mustard Salad Dressing ever to hit grocery store shelves in the 1980’s and just completed writing two cookbooks. His kitchen notoriety landed him as host for the National Beer Wholesalers Association first annual “Cooking with Beer” cook-off held at The Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. Additionally, in February Steve will host the Telluride Aids Benefit for his fourth consecutive year. Steve’s passion for food started at an early age, being raised in the family restaurant business and custom meat packing industry, he acquired his taste for the best meats and freshest ingredients. During 1999 through 2006, Steve’s love for food lead him to Europe where he spent 3 months each year attending cooking classes in small villages throughout the continent perfecting his palate. Prior to that, Steve was a food and beverage manager at the prestigious Waterford Dining Room, a Mobile five star restaurant where he cooked for celebrities, heads of state and the Chaine des Rotisseurs. His landscaping and exterior/interior designs have a large European flair stemming from his time spent traveling through Europe.

His preparation for his televisions shows were in part from the time he spent training at The Neighborhood Playhouse, School of the Theatre in NYC and hosting “The Renaissance Men” for Clear Channel Communications. But, what Steve loves most is his rich family history of winemaking…yes, he comes by his passion for wine honestly. Spitz & Fils in France’s Alsace region has been producing great wines for generation…Steve’s been known to miss a flight or two when visiting.

“Live with Steve Spitz” is filled with celebrities, musicians, artists, authors and television personalities. Spitz will be charging up the live audience with his endless energy & off the wall humor as he merges his successful format from his lifestyle-magazine show with that of a variety show, complete with everything including a live band.
